Warm Sun

THE SUN, it warms my skin again
After the rain has gone
To think I caused myself distress
Worrying much too long

My cap I doff, I bow my head
The clouds, they drift away
My friend the light has come again
With luck, he’s here to stay

But if, by chance, he tucks away
And I’m left all alone -
I’ll think of you, my love, and say,
“She’d want me to be strong”
